Miley Cyrus’ first on-record recording was in 2006 when she did a cover of the song Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah for the Disney Mania Volume 4 CD. Later on that same year, on October 24, Walt Disney Records released the first Hannah Montana Soundtrack. The album came in #1 on the US Billboard Top 200 Chart and was the 8th best selling album of the year.

In 2007 Miley opened for 20 of the Cheetah Girls’ concerts. The same year, Miley was featured again on Disney Mania Volume 5 where she remade the song “Part of Your World.” Shortly after Miley’s career would skyrocket when the Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus CD was released. Not many people had known about “Miley,” they only knew about “Hannah,” and this was Miley’s chance to introduce herself.

The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and was certified three times Platinum. Afterward, Miley went on tour for the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Tour. The Jonas Brothers were her opening act.

The next album to be released from Miley was a live album recorded during her tour which included 14 songs, half by Hannah Montana and half by Miley Cyrus. The album made it to the #3 spot in the US.

Miley’s album titled Breakout was a bit less pop and more emotional. The CD had a lot of tracks that Miley had co-written and the album meant a lot to her and her fans. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and featured her hit songs “7 Things,” and “Fly On The Wall.”

In April 2008 Miley co-hosted the CMT Music Awards with her daddy, Billy Ray Cyrus, and she also hosted the Teen Choice Awards.

When Disney released it’s movie “Bolt,” which featured the voices of Miley Cyrus and John Travolta, fans rejoiced in the fact that Miley and John had teamed up to sing the song “I Thought I Lost You,” which was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.

Miley Cyrus’ latest tour beings in Fall 2009 and will go through 2010. Miley will be performing in both the United States and the United Kingdom and the band Metro Station will be traveling with her. Miley’s older brother Trace is a member of Metro Station.

Miley’s most recent hit is a song she recorded with ex-boyfriend and current flame Nick Jonas called “Before The Storm,” and she also has the Hannah Montana Season 3 Soundtrack CD.
