“Fa-La-La-Lidays” Disney Channel’s Winter Programming Event Begins November 28th

Beginning Friday, November 28th, the Disney Channel will kick off their annual winter programming event with a one hour crossover of the popular comedies “Jessie” and “Liv and Maddie.”

A Hawaiian holiday episode of “Jessie” guest starring Maia Mitchell (“Teen Beach Movie”) and popular “Liv and Maddie” characters Joey Bragg and Tenzing Norgay Trainor, plus a holiday reunion episode of “Girl Meets World” guest starring “Boy Meets World” alumni Rider Strong (“Shawn Hunter”), William Russ (“Alan Matthews”) and Betsy Randle (“Amy Matthews”), new episodes of “I Didn’t do It” guest starring Reginald Vel Johnson (“Family Matters”), “Dog With A Blog” and “Liv and Maddie,” will be presented during the fourth annual “Fa-la-la-lidays” winter programming event beginning November 28th through December.

The animated premiere of Disney Pixar’s “Toy Story That Time Forgot” is also scheduled during the month.

The Disney Channel will continue to roll out holiday programming including 25-days of throwback and holiday-themed episodes, beginning Monday, December 1, 2014.

ABC Will Air “Backstage With Disney on Broadway: Celebrating 20 Years”

ABC Television Network will air on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 7pm ET, “Backstage with Disney on Broadway: Celebrating 20 Years.”

The one hour special is in celebration of Disney Theatrical Productions’ 20 years on Broadway. The show will be hosted by ABC’s “Modern Family” star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

The special will take viewers on a journey through the creation of Disney’s eight Broadway musicals: “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Lion King,” “AIDA,” “Tarzan,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Mary Poppins,” “Newsies” and “Aladdin.”

“Backstage with Disney on Broadway: Celebrating 20 Years,” will also feature music from the Disney on Broadway catalog, including special musical performances from Sir Elton John, Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen (ABC’s “Nashville”), Ashley Brown (“Mary Poppins”) and Adam Jacobs (“Aladdin”).

Viewers will have unprecedented access to the fast pace and high stakes world of Broadway for the very first time ever! Cameras will be backstage during actual performances of “Aladdin.” The show also takes viewers into special rehearsals as well as showing us how the “Newsies” tour prepares for its opening night.
