Selena Gomez will be acting in the film adaption of Beverly Cleary’s “Beezus and Ramona.” Selena will play the role of Beezus, while 9-year-old Joey King will play Ramona.

The movie is set to release next year in March, and will be directed by Elizabeth Allen, who previously directed Aquamarine with Emma Roberts and JoJo.

The original Ramona Quimby movie was released in 1988.
