This is really cool! Musician Richard Sherman got to play the famous Disney song “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” on Walt Disney’s piano as part of a D23 event for the Disney twenty-three magazine spring issue. Here’s what was posted along with the video below:
“In preparation for the upcoming Disney twenty-three spring issue, celebrating 75 years of Disney feature animation and debuting February 2012, Disney Legend Richard Sherman pays a visit to the Walt Disney Studios Lot in Burbank, California. He plays an encore performance of the beloved Disney song ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ on Walt Disney’s office piano, which served as the Sherman Brothers’ stage for pitching songs to Walt during the pre-production of Mary Poppins.”

We were so excited to hear about some of the Fantasyland updates at the Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom park!
Mary Poppins star Dick Van Dyke will be performing at this years D23 Expo on August 19th in California at the Anaheim Convention Center. Dick will be performing along with his group The Vantastix. The vocal quartet is comprised of Dick, Mike Mendyke, Bryan Chadima and Eric Bradley. If you attend the expo, be ready for their concert at Stage 23 at 8:15pm.
The group will perform a number of songs from his career – which includes the movies “Mary Poppins” and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” – along with a many of well-known Disney songs.

Ok this is cool! The D23 Expo is offering guests the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the upcoming ABC series “Once Upon A Time” and Walt Disney Animation Studios’ new special “Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice.” The expo is being held at the Anaheim Convention Center on August 19th and 20th.
The “Prep & Landing” screening will take place on August 19th at 12:45pm in Stage 23. Here is a description of the special:
“Santa’s dauntless elves, Wayne and Lanny, find themselves up to their pointy ears in trouble, as they race to recover classified North Pole technology, which has fallen into the hands of a computer-hacking Naughty Kid. Their mission to prevent Christmas from descending into chaos has some riotous twists, turns and surprises.”
There will also be a question and answer session moderated by “D23′s Disney Geek” host Jeffrey Epstein with directors Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton and producer Dorothy McKim.
Then, on August 20th at 12:45pm in Stage 23 you can join “LOST” producers/writers and the writers of “TRON: Legacy” Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz in a question and answer session where they will talk about their new ABC how “Once Upon A Time” (which we can’t wait for!). The Q&A session will again be moderated by Jeffrey Epstein, and there will also be a special screening of the show, which is set to premiere on ABC on October 23rd.
