Each year three teams at Disneyland come together to create an over-the-top gingerbread extravaganza that is placed in the ballroom of the Haunted Mansion attraction in the park for the Halloween and Christmas holidays when the ride is transformed with the characters from “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” In the video below you can learn about the 2011 gingerbread house at the park. Here’s what was posted along with the video:
“This year marks the tenth anniversary of Haunted Mansion Holiday at Disneyland park, but there was one celebration you might not have known about. Each year, some very different teams from across Disneyland Resort gather for a very special project: the Haunted Mansion Holiday gingerbread house.”
The characters from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” have taken over The Haunted Mansion attraction at the Disneyland park in California. Visitors to the Disneyland park can enjoy these additions to The Haunted Mansion ride until January when they will be removed and the attraction will go back to its original form.
“The Nightmare Before Christmas” lends itself perfectly to The Haunted Mansion because of it’s spooky characters! Be sure to let us know if you ride The Haunted Mansion before “The Nightmare Before Christmas” decorations disappear!

The Disney Parks have released this new behind-the-scenes video showing the new hitchhiking ghosts and how they come to life in the Haunted Mansion attraction at Walt Disney World. Here’s what was posted along with the video:
“If you enjoyed Walt Disney Imagineering’s exclusive look at our new interactive queue at the Haunted Mansion attraction, then you’re in for a treat. Imagineers have created the ultimate collection of hitchhiking ghosts that now interact with guests and today, they’re sharing a behind-the-scene look at how it happens.”
Do you have a trip to Disney planned in the near future?
Here is the first look at the interactive line queue at the Haunted Mansion attraction at the Walt Disney World Resorts Magic Kingdom theme park. There are tons of new objects to look at now as you travel through the line awaiting your turn on the spooky ride, and some of the new items will help keep park guests entertained with musical tunes that you can control!
This looks like so much fun! Let us know if you check out the new queue in person!
A number of updates are currently taking place at the Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Haunted Mansion Ride.
Construction walls have been put up in the line queue and some of the changes to the ride have been announced, which include an interactive game park visitors can play while waiting in line. All the riders have to do is listen to each of the interactive displays along the line, where they will hear a ghost whisper something to them. At the end of the line they will have to put all of the information together in order to find out where the family fortune is hidden. Fun!
In addition, the ride queue will change so that wheelchairs can fit through rather than guests in wheelchairs having to be escorted through the exit of the ride.
What do you think of these new changes?
