Taylor Kitsch’s Walt Disney Pictures movie “John Carter” is releasing to Blu-ray and DVD on June 5, 2012. The movie didn’t do very well in theaters, but maybe it will recoup a lot of its production budget with the sale of Blu-rays and DVDs? Do YOU plan on adding this movie to your collection?

Disney Expects To Lose $200 Million On “John Carter” Movie

Yikes! The Walt Disney Company expects to lose $200 million dollars on the Walt Disney Pictures film “John Carter” staring Taylor Kitsch. The film cost around $350 million to make and market and it hasn’t been doing well at the box office.

Do you think movies should start being made with lesser budgets? Or should Disney have just known this would be a flop from the beginning and stopped production?

Taylor Kitsch Wants A “John Carter” Sequel Movie!

Actor Taylor Kitsch, from Walt Disney Pictures’ “John Carter,” says that even though the movie isn’t doing well at the box office he wants to do a sequel! Here’s what Taylor told Entertainment Weekly:

I would do ‘John Carter’ again tomorrow. I’m very proud of ‘John Carter’. Box office doesn’t validate me as a person, or as an actor. I’d love to go do ‘John Carter 2.’ I really would. It’s just s***ty I don’t get to work with the ['John Carter'] family. It really was a special thing.

“John Carter” Fans Petition For A Sequel Movie

While Walt Disney Pictures’ movie “John Carter” isn’t doing as well as expected at the box office, there are fans of the movie who are already petitioning Disney to make a sequel film. The petition was started on Facebook and has about 2,000 members urging Disney to create another movie starring “John Carter” actor Taylor Kitsch.
