On May 10, 2012 Katy Perry was awarded the NARM Artist of the Year Award at the Music Biz 2012 Awards Dinner Party. While there Katy hung out with a bunch of the other attendees, including none other than Cody Simpson!

Did you know that Katy Perry was originally slated to appear in “The Help,” but due to scheduling conflicts she ended up not being able to? True story! Here are the details from Katy via PerezHilton.com:
There was a time when I was going to be involved in The Help—just a small part. I wasn’t going to be Emma Stone or anything—but I couldn’t because the shooting schedule conflicted with the release of my record. And I was upset about that; I knew it was going to be an important film. Not that I need to do drama first, but I do want to do something that makes a strong impression. You don’t really get off the hook being a musician first. I feel like the stakes are really high.

Rather than fighting over their $6.5 million dollar home during their divorce, Russell Brand has given the house to Katy Perry. We miss these two as a couple, but we’re glad they are able to be so civil to each other during this difficult time – celebrity divorces can get really messy sometimes!
Rumor has it that both Russell and Katy have moved on with new relationships. We’ll keep you posted!
