Disney/Pixar has announced that the “Monsters, Inc” prequel movie will be titled “Monsters University. The movie will be about how the popular “Monsters, Inc” characters Mike Wazowski (voiced by Billy Crystal) and James P. Sullivan “Sulley” (voiced by John Goodman) met while attending Monsters University. The duo start off as enemies, but later grow into friends!
“Monsters University” is set to arrive in theaters late in 2012. We’ll keep you posted with any new details.
It is being speculated that Disney/Pixar’s “Monsters Inc 2” movie will be a prequel and will follow the characters James P. Sullivan “Sulley” (voiced by John Goodman) and Mike Wazowski (voiced by Billy Crystal) during their time learning how to scare humans at the University of Fear. According to the rumors, the characters start off as enemies while in school before ever becoming friends.

Woah now, looks like nobody wants to compete with “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.” When Summit Entertainment announced that the final installment of the Twilight franchise would be coming to theaters on November 16th, 2012, Disney/Pixar was quick to move the release date of the much-anticipated “Monsters, Inc 2” sequel movie.
Rather than the 16th of November, the animated movie will now arrive in theaters on the 2nd to get a head start before “Twilight” arrives.
In turn, the move of “Monsters” caused DreamWorks to push back their own animated movie “The Guardians” to November 21st, 2012.
It has just been announced that the theater release date of the Disney/Pixar “Monsters Inc” is November 16, 2012.
There’s no additional information anywhere, except that the title is listed as “Monsters Inc, 2″ on IMDB. But we’re sure that everyone’s favorite characters from the first “Monsters” movie will be back to reprise their roles in the second film – at least we have our fingers crossed!
