Johnny Depp, who stars in Disney’s “Pirates Of The Caribbean” franchise, has been banned from promoting his new movie “The Rum Diary” on any of the Walt Disney Company’s networks, stations or affiliates. According to reports, Disney doesn’t want the release of “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” on Blu-ray and DVD to be overshadowed, but we also think it might have something to do with Disney being worried that the more Johnny promotes “The Rum Diary” the less parents will see him as a “family friendly” face and therefore won’t let “Pirates of the Caribbean” into their household.

This film is the fourth in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise and just like all the rest it stars actor Johnny Depp as the hilarious pirate Captain Jack Sparrow. Johnny is joined in this movie by actress Penelope Cruz. The two make the perfect pair and the movie is worth watching for their interaction alone! Of course there is also a ton of action, adventure, special effects and perfect comedic timing in the movie too!
With many franchises the movies don’t get better as they go, but even though this is the fourth movie in the series it is no less exciting and entertaining to watch than the first three films. Also starring in the movie are Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbossa and Ian McShane as Blackbeard.
In the movie the characters are searching for the Fountain of Youth and along the way they come in contact with pirates and mermaids and more! All of the new characters we are introduced to in this movie are memorable and we hope they all continue on their journey together in another “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie in the future!
We absolutely love the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise and we think that “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger” tides is the perfect addition to the collection. We can’t wait to watch many more “Pirates” movies!
