Touchstone Pictures’ movie “The Last Song” is now available on DVD and Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack from Touchstone Home Entertainment. The movie stars Miley Cyrus and her real life boyfriend Liam Hemsworth along with Greg Kinnear, Bobby Coleman and Kelly Preston.

In the movie, Miley plays a troubled teen who is spending the summer with her father who she is not very connected to anymore. Miley’s character, Ronnie, meets a boy named Will who she at first tries to push away but learns throughout the course of the movie to let him into her life.

We really loved “The Last Song” as it was Miley’s first break-out role away from her role as Disney’s Hannah Montana. As you can read in our previous movie review, we thought that Miley got more into her character Ronnie as the movie progressed. In addition, Ronnie and Will’s relationship on screen was easy to believe as Miley and Liam were already dating in person as the movie filmed.

The bonus features make buying the DVD or Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack well worth it. The alternate opening is interesting and in fact we like it better, however if you listen to the alternate opening with the directors commentary you can hear about why they chose to go with a different opening. We also loved the making of Miley’s “When I Look At You” video and haven’t been able to get the song out of our heads since!

All in all the movie is a great piece of work from Miley and all of the other actors who join her in the film, and the bonus features are just that – a bonus to the great movie!

He got really lucky because he got put in a Nicholas Sparks movie, which makes you think he is romantic, but then you realize everything he’s saying he’s filming the next day, and it’s all scripted!

Haha! We hope that Liam got more creative with what he says to Miley now that the two have been dating for a year!

In a recent interview Miley Cyrus revealed an embarrassing moment on the set of her movie “The Last Song,” when her phone rang during a scene.

“The funniest scene was also the saddest. Ronnie visits her terminally ill dad in hospital and is struggling to hold back the tears. It was absolutely silent on set and suddenly my mobile phone goes off playing ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’! That was quite embarrassing, but also absolutely hilarious.”
