No release date has been set for “The Muppets 2,” but we’ll keep you posted as soon as one is. We can’t wait to find out what the movie will be about, but we have to admit we’re a bit bummed that Jason Segel won’t be returning to the film! Does that mean Amy Adams is out as well?

Jason Segel Won’t Have A Cameo In “The Muppets” Sequel Movie

April 22, 2012 |  by  |  No Comments

Actor Jason Segel, who starred in Disney’s movie “The Muppets,” has revealed that he has no interest in being in the sequel movie, even if it’s just a cameo. Here’s what Jason had to say, via PerezHilton.com:

No cameo. I like doing these R-rated comedies. I loved working onThe Muppets but, you know, it took me six, seven years. That’s a lot of time working with puppets. I think I enjoy acting too much to repeat myself in any way.

Do you hope Jason reconsiders?

The movie stars Jason Segel, Amy Adams and all of our favorite Muppets characters in an exciting adventure to save the Muppet theater! The movie is complete with jokes you would expect to hear from the Muppets, and Jason and Amy do nothing but add value to the movie in every scene!

We received the Wocka Wocka Combo Pack of the movie, which includes three discs:

- Blu-ray
- DVD
- Digital Copy

the Wocka Wocka Combo Pack also includes a download card for “The Muppets” soundtrack! We thought this was a huge added bonus, and would highly recommend this combo pack for anyone who is a fan of the Muppets!

Here’s what else comes included in the Combo Pack:

- The Longest Blooper Reel Ever Made (In Muppet History––We Think) – A laugh out loud look at the actors’ funny gaffs and gags from behind the scenes of making Disney’s “The Muppets.”
- Disney Intermission – Groundbreaking Blu-ray feature. Pausing a movie will never be this much fun, as the Muppets take over the screen every time you stop the disc!

- Explaining Evil: The Full Tex Richman Song. Rapping his way through the story of his miserable life, Tex tells audiences why he turned out to be such a rotten guy.
- A Little Screen Test on the way to the Read Through. This hilarious footage follows the Muppet gang as they go to their first table reading of the script.
- Eight Deleted Scenes
- Audio Commentary with Jason Segel, James Bobin and Nicholas Stoller
- The Combo Pack also comes with the popular theatrical spoof trailers

Check out a synopsis of the movie from Disney:

“On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend, Mary (Amy Adams), from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze Muppet Studios and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the studio, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.”

We loved watching this movie, and we know you will too! Oh, and we can’t forget to mention that Selena Gomez, Rico Rodriguez and Whoopi Goldberg make cameos! Fun!
