Yeay! Walt Disney Pictures has officially announced “The Muppets 2″ sequel movie! Director James Bobin will return to continue his work with the Muppets, and he will also help write the script alongside Nicholas Stoller.
No release date has been set for “The Muppets 2,” but we’ll keep you posted as soon as one is. We can’t wait to find out what the movie will be about, but we have to admit we’re a bit bummed that Jason Segel won’t be returning to the film! Does that mean Amy Adams is out as well?
Actor Jason Segel, who starred in Disney’s movie “The Muppets,” has revealed that he has no interest in being in the sequel movie, even if it’s just a cameo. Here’s what Jason had to say, via PerezHilton.com:
No cameo. I like doing these R-rated comedies. I loved working onThe Muppets but, you know, it took me six, seven years. That’s a lot of time working with puppets. I think I enjoy acting too much to repeat myself in any way.
Do you hope Jason reconsiders?
Radio Disney host Jake Whetter was lucky enough to hang out with Muppets characters Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy recently, and they had a ton of fun at the studio! While in front of the camera, Miss Piggy showed off her swag – similar to Justin Bieber – and sang some tunes to Jake, who got a bit embarrassed! We loved watching this movie, and we know you will too! Oh, and we can’t forget to mention that Selena Gomez, Rico Rodriguez and Whoopi Goldberg make cameos! Fun!
