Actor Chris Hemsworth attended the premiere of Marvel’s “The Avengers” in Moscow, Russia on April 17, 2012. The event was held at the Oktyabr cinema and a number of Chris’ “Avengers” co-stars were also in attendance.
We can’t wait to see Chris reprise his role as Thor in the film! Get ready for “The Avengers” to hit theaters on May 4, 2012!

The EPIX network will host a Marvel Heroes Weekend on April 27-29, 2012. The weekend will include a marathon of superhero movies, including:
- Iron Man 2
- Thor
- Captain America: The First Avenger
- EPIX Original Documentary “With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story”
The marathon will be hosted by comic book creator Stan Lee.

Marvel and Real D have teamed up to release a line of collectible 3D glasses themed like “The Avengers” film. The movie will arrive in theaters in 3D on May 4, 2012 and according to reports the glasses will be available for purchase at theaters for around $5 each.
There are glasses based on the following Avengers characters:
- Iron Man
- Thor
- Hulk
- Captain America

Patty Jenkins has stepped away from her role as director for Marvel’s “Thor” sequel. Reportedly creative differences are to blame for Patty’s decision to quit.
Patty is best known for direction the movie “Monster.” Here is Patty’s statement that she released to The Hollywood Reporter:
I have had a great time working at Marvel. We parted on very good terms, and I look forward to working with them again.
We’ll keep you posted when a new director for “Thor 2” is chosen.
