Tom Hanks will play Walt Disney in a new movie “Saving Mr. Banks” about the making of Disney’s “Mary Poppins.” Actress Emma Thompson is in talks to play “Mary Poppins” author P.L. Travers. It took 14 years of persuasion from Disney for P.L. Travers to allow him to make her book into a movie – and then she didn’t like it! Yikes!

Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep are about to close a deal to star in a new movie about Mary Poppins. The movie, from Disney, will be called “Saving Mr. Banks,” and will about the author of Mary Poppins Dr. P. L. Travers and how her life changed when she agreed to let the Walt Disney Company turn her book into a movie.
In the movie Meryl would play Dr. P. L. Travers while Tom would play Walt Disney. We’ll keep you posted if this happens.

If you go see Walt Disney Pictures new movie “The Muppets” in theaters you’ll be able to watch the new Toy Story short “Small Fry.” The short is about a fast-food restaurant toy that wants to be just like a real toy, and he decides to kidnap Buzz Lightyear in order to live out his dream.
Tim Allen and Tom Hanks are just two of the many “Toy Story” voice actors that are back for more “Toy Story” action in this new short. In addition, Jane Lynch (“Glee”) voices a character in the short as well!
