Over the years the Walt Disney Company has created numerous shows at their theme parks for visitors that may not be available anymore, but don’t be discouraged! Jiminy’s Limited Editions takes these nostalgic shows and recreates them for the public. Owned by Jim Presley, Jiminy’s Limited Editions releases interpretive musical compositions that remind us of our Disney memories from the past.

The first “Jiminy Salutes” Limited Edition album was released in October 2008 and is titled “Jiminy Salutes The Main Street Electrical Parade.” The album re-creates many of the exciting sections of Disney’s Main Street Parade, which has been running since the year 1972.

Jiminy’s creates only 5,000 copies per album. When you purchase the limited edition album you are guaranteed a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Founder and owner of Jiminy’s Limited Editions, Jim Presley is a talented keyboard player who created and composed “Jiminy Salutes The Main Street Electrical Parade” in just two years time. His goal is to release a Disney tribute album every two years for the next 20 years!

Jim has a 30-year background in music. He has earned two music degrees and also attended the world renown Grove Music School in Los Angeles, California. Jim is a professional member of the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. He currently spends most weeks of the year working at country singer Toby Keith’s live venue in Las Vegas, Nevada and also Mesa, Arizona. Jim even plays keyboards live with the real Toby Keith several times per year!

Anytime an album is released it is important to do live performances for tour support. Currently Jim is wrapping up rehearsals and will begin live multimedia performances of Jiminy Salutes the Main Street Electrical Parade. You will be able to see the vintage parade on a big screen during the live concert performance!

While many of us may not be old enough to remember what the original Main Street parade was like at Disney’s Disneyland theme park, each of us can now enjoy a piece of that history through Jim’s tribute album.

The very first Disneyland parade consisted of giant screens on barge boats that were covered in bright lights at the Disneyland park on October 26, 1971. The next year the Disneyland Imagineers created the Main Street Electrical Parade complete with floats and magical music.

In 1991 the Main Street Electrical Parade was renamed “Spectromagic,” which ran until 1999 – the same year that the Main Street Electrical Parade was introduced to the Walt Disney World theme park. Currently both parks run the “Disney’s Electrical Parade.”

In his album, Jim has very closely created the magic of the Disneyland Main Street Electrical Parade. Below is a clip of the songs on the album.

Jiminy’s Limited Editions does not use digital downloads to create any of the songs on the limited edition albums. Rather, they use the same technologies that were available in 1972, including a vocoder, which you can hear in the beginning of the clip above.
